Emily Nozick is a member of Dentons' Litigation practice. She has more than 20 years of legal experience, 14 of which have
focused on insurance coverage disputes and counseling. She has
practiced with the firm for more than 17 years.
Emily has written more than a thousand coverage opinions
involving first party (property) cases and third party (liability)
cases. Emily's liability coverage opinions span a multitude of
topics, including misrepresentation, "property damage," "bodily
injury," "personal injury," accidental loss, business activities,
trespass, construction defects, criminal acts, landlord/tenant
issues, easements and rescission, among many others. On the
property side, Emily has drafted coverage opinions on numerous
topics, such as earth movement, water intrusion, collapse, mold,
trigger of coverage, suit limitation, pollution, "sudden and
accidental" loss and causation. She has also written opinions
related to automobile and commercial policies.
Emily has represented insurers in numerous declaratory relief
actions, solidifying and establishing law on coverage topics
related to business activities, real estate misrepresentation,
construction defects, motor vehicle exclusions and accidents, the
definition of "insured person," trespass, neighbor disputes and
criminal acts, among others.
