Ian Cater trained with the firm and qualified as a lawyer in the Litigation and
Dispute Resolution department in London in 2007. Ian gained
contentious and transactional experience during his training in the
Planning, Dispute Resolution and Energy and Infrastructure
departments, and also spent six months on secondment with the
in-house legal team of one of our major energy clients.
During his time at the firm, Ian has gained extensive experience
of domestic and international arbitration (including disputes
conducted under the ICC and LCIA Rules) as well as various other
types of commercial disputes. Ian has developed a sound knowledge
of energy and construction projects, as well as working on high
profile disputes in the music and sports industries.
