Melissa Economy is a member of Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. She has broad experience representing clients at the trial and appellate level in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. Melissa’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, primarily in the areas of contracts, class action, business torts, financial services and insurance matters.
Melissa also has substantial experience in major real estate-related litigation, including construction disputes and government compliance matters as well as multimillion dollar foreclosure litigation.
Melissa is also a member of the Dentons' E-discovery Task Force and frequently advises clients on electronic discovery-related issues, including records management, litigation hold processes, responding to electronic discovery requests and negotiating and defending electronic discovery production protocols.
Melissa is a member of the Illinois and California bars, and is admitted to practice before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the US District Courts for the Central District of California and the Northern District of Illinois.
