Paweł Wanasz is a counsel in Dentons’ Warsaw office and a member of the Competition practice team.
Paweł has amassed valuable professional experience at the Polish competition authority, in the Telecommunications, Media, Finance and Banking Unit (formerly the Telecommunications and Media Unit) of the UOKiK’s Competition Protection Department, as a trainee, junior officer, and eventually expert (case-handler). His practical experience includes, inter alia, participation in one of the largest dawn raids conducted by the Polish competition authority in a cartel investigation.
Paweł was an expert of the European Document Exchange System – Poland (EWD-P) (an electronic system that supports the elaboration of official Polish positions towards draft EU legislation, strategic papers, programs, etc., including positions for working groups and Council meetings) and a member of the European Competition Network – Telecoms group.
Currently he specializes in proceedings before the UOKiK Chairperson related to charges of competition restricting practices as well as competition law advice to telecom, IT, and pharmaceutical sector companies.
Paweł Wanasz is ranked as an “Associate to watch” in Chambers Europe 2015. The Legal 500 EMEA 2012-2013 recognizes Paweł in the 2012-13 editions. He is also mentioned as an “Up and Coming” figure in the Polish antitrust bar by the “GCR 100” by Law Business Research, 2012.
Paweł is the author of numerous articles regarding competition law, and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars.
