Palo Alto, CA—Dentons US LLP announced today that C. Matthew Schulz has joined as a partner in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. Schulz advises employers on planning and implementing global transfers. He joins Dentons from Baker & McKenzie, where he was head of the Global Immigration and Mobility Practice in California.

Schulz's global mobility practice helps employers implement global transfers, including visas, employment agreements, employee benefits and tax planning. He advises employers on related staffing strategies and personnel policies, corporate compliance and best practices. Schulz also guides investors and business developers on investor visas and government-designated regional centers for investor immigration.

Schulz is a regular contributor to publications such as The San Francisco and Los Angeles Daily Journals. He developed and served as editor-in-chief of his prior firm's Global Mobility Handbook. He frequently speaks on global mobility and business immigration topics.
Schulz holds a JD from Golden Gate University and a bachelor's degree from University of California at Irvine.
