Toronto—On March 13, 2014, the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC) announced the names of eight individuals who will be honoured for their outstanding contribution to society and the legal profession. Amongst the eight was Dentons Canada partner, Frank Bowman, who will be awarded the LSUC’s top honour, the Law Society Medal.

The Medal is given to a select group of lawyers each year to recognize their outstanding service within the profession, whether in the area of practice, in the academic sphere or in some other professional capacity where the service is in accordance with the highest ideals of the legal profession. 

“Frank is highly deserving of this honour, as he embodies the core values of our profession,” says Chris Pinnington, Canada Chief Executive Officer. “He is a very accomplished and successful senior member of the litigation bar who is fiercely dedicated to his clients, to our firm and to community service.”

Frank has overseen the Gale Cup Moot for more than 30 years and has been a volunteer with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, as national legal counsel, advising the board of directors since 1980, as well as having served as chair of the Social Action Committee and as a member of the Governance and Leadership Advisory Committees.
