Toronto —Dentons Canada LLP is pleased to announce that the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC) awarded Frank Bowman, Dentons partner, with the LSUC’s top honour, the Law Society Medal, at its annual award ceremony last night at Osgoode Hall. 

The Medal is given to a select group of lawyers each year to recognize their outstanding service within the profession, whether in the area of practice, in the academic sphere or in some other professional capacity where the service is in accordance with the highest ideals of the legal profession.

“Frank is highly deserving of this honour, as he embodies the core values of our profession,” said Chris Pinnington, Canada Chief Executive Officer. “He is a very accomplished and successful senior member of the litigation bar who is fiercely dedicated to his clients, to our firm and to community service.”

Frank has overseen the Gale Cup Moot for more than 30 years and has been a volunteer with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, as national legal counsel, advising the board of directors since 1980, as well as having served as chair of the Social Action Committee and as a member of the Governance and Leadership Advisory Committees.

“It is a real privilege to be acknowledged by a law society that has many accomplished members who are deserving of this honour,” said Frank Bowman, partner in Dentons’ Toronto office. “I am humbled to be included in this group of highly talented professionals, each of whom has made remarkable contributions to the legal profession.”
