For the second time in a row, Dentons was the only law firm in Poland to be listed in the Ranking of Socially Responsible Companies. Dentons was ranked 6th among the 180 companies which participated in this year’s ranking.

“CSR and pro bono initiatives play an important role in our strategy.  Globally, in 2015 we spent more than 75,000 hours on pro bono advice, supporting over 300 NGOs and not-for-profit organizations around the world. We support pro bono projects and local initiatives with the same commitment as we support our clients. Therefore we are delighted that our activity on the Polish market was once again recognized by an independent ranking,” said Arkadiusz Krasnodębski, Poland Managing Partner.

“Dentons’ Warsaw office conducted a pilot program encouraging lawyers to do pro bono work. It was so successful that Dentons has used the lessons learned to launch a pro bono policy at the European level. Thanks to engaging all lawyers in pro bono activities, we managed last year to participate in a record number of interesting and socially useful initiatives, some of which we helped create,” added Agnieszka Wardak, Partner responsible for Pro Bono activities in  Warsaw and a member of Dentons’ Global Pro Bono Committee.

The Ranking of Socially Responsible Companies is a list of companies operating in Poland, ranked according to their corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. Each year the ranking, under the auspices of the Responsible Business Forum, is prepared by prof. Bolesław Rok of Koźmiński University, Warsaw together with Jarosław Horodecki, and verified by Deloitte’s consultants. The results are published by the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. The other companies listed in this year’s top ten were: Samsung, Adamed Group, L'Oréal Poland, T-Mobile Poland, Leroy Merlin Group, Saint-Gobain, Siemens, Veolia Energy Poland and Medicover.
