Paris—Dentons is advising Mirova and Axione over their partnership with Bouygues Telecom to roll out an optical fiber network in France’s urban areas. 

Axione and Mirova have created CityFast, a network access services provider dedicated to the “Very Dense Area”, the urban districts of France where the regulator encourages competition between broadband networks. As part of this transaction, Bouygues Telecom is selling its existing fiber optic infrastructure in these areas to CityFast and will design and roll out CityFast's future fiber to the home (FTTH) network. CityFast, which is controlled by Mirova, will guarantee Bouygues Telecom and all other operators access to its fiber optic network. Axione will operate, maintain and market the network on behalf of CityFast. The deal will bring to six million the total number of premises connected by Axione’s optical fiber network in mainland France.
