Washington, DC—Dentons Public Policy principals Sander Lurie and John Russell have been named to The Hill’s 2018 Top Lobbyists. The Top Lobbyists list is compiled of “the most distinguished and accomplished professionals on the front lines of the nation’s most consequential political and policy battles.”  

Lurie is a 30 year plus Washington veteran including a 17 year stint in the Senate. He was Chief of Staff to two U.S. Senators (Lautenberg and Stabenow) and worked on the Senate Budget Committee. Lurie represents over a dozen clients on Capitol Hill and before Federal agencies. He also has two FARA registered clients. His issue areas include manufacturing, trade, taxes, environment, food, agriculture, health care, foreign policy and tribal issues. Lurie has led initiatives to introduce various clients to a number of influential Senators, Congresspersons, senior staff and key members of prominent government agencies. As such, he has been recognized as a top lobbyist by The Hill several times.

Russell focuses on federal advocacy and strategic communications. He worked for nearly a decade on Capitol Hill, serving on the leadership staffs of a speaker, a House majority whip and the chairman of the House Campaign Committee. In his career, Russell has worked both extensively and effectively in the legislative, communications and campaign arenas.
