Sydney—Dentons has acted for The Nature Conservancy in their bid to manage the Nimmie-Caira water restoration project, to restore the largest remaining wetland in the Murrumbidgee Valley in southern New South Wales.

Advising The Nature Conservancy on complex long-term lease negotiations with the NSW Government that includes the option to purchase the 84,000 ha of land, the project forms part of a long-term strategy for self-sustaining restoration of an important wetland area as well as the protection of areas of Aboriginal cultural significance.

Dentons works with The Nature Conservancy around the globe, providing pro bono legal support to help The Nature Conservancy in its mission to protect nature for the benefit of all.
