Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces today the formation of its Differently Abled Affinity Group. In continuing commitment of full representation and inclusion for everyone at the Firm, the newest affinity group is designed to support colleagues who identify as disabled, or who have loved ones who do, by fostering professional development, driving awareness and understanding of the disability umbrella and promoting inclusive initiatives firmwide. 

St. Louis partner Belinda May and Chicago senior legal recruitment manager Mary Boxer lead the Differently Abled Affinity Group as co-chairs. All colleagues are encouraged to participate, even those that do not personally identify as having a disability. 

“The pandemic has shined a spotlight on disabilities, whether they are visible or invisible; seen or unseen; physical, emotional or mental; or emerging conditions brought about by stay-at-home orders or quarantine precautions,” said co-chairs May and Boxer. “We are passionate about this group’s potential benefits for our colleagues, family, friends and our own disability experiences, and we know we can make a difference for those of us who are differently abled.”
