Sydney—Dentons has strengthened its Brisbane office with the addition of a new Recovery and Restructuring partner, Claire Petersen.

Claire is an accomplished lawyer with extensive experience in external administration, reconstruction and banking recovery. Claire advises insolvency practitioners and directors on their duties and obligations including safe harbour, restructuring and antecendent transactions, and is an experienced litigator across multiple areas and jurisdictions. Claire has acted for three of Australia’s big-four banks, as well as other major, listed, and private financial institutions.

Claire’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Perth Recovery and Restructuring Partner, John Park. Claire will join Banking and Finance Partner, Craig Chapman, and Real Estate Partner, Cara Richardson, in Brisbane on 4 May.
