United Kingdom—The vital work and tireless efforts of those who support The Air Ambulance Service were honoured at an inaugural Showcase and Awards evening at the Vox in Birmingham – with Dentons scooping the award for Supplier of the Year.

The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) - which operates the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire, Derbyshire Leicestershire & Rutland, and national Children’s Air Ambulances – had a magical evening celebrating and showcasing the incredible heroic work of its people and partners.

Hosted by Jamie Laing and Shirley Ballas, people travelled from all parts of the country to join in a celebration of the charity’s work and to recognise charity heroes across 15 different categories

All winners were judged by an independent panel of distinguished leaders in their field, and all were honoured at the event sponsored by Sloane Helicopters Ltd.

The judges awarded the Supplier of the Year award to Dentons.

Dentons has not only provided exceptional services to the charity but has also gone the extra mile with support and advice which helped the charity save more than half a million pounds.

Through our pro bono scheme, we provided free advice on a multitude of legal matters including commercial contracts, contract negotiations, trademark, real estate, employment, disputes and intellectual property matters.

Accepting the award on behalf of Dentons, Dan Bodle and Matthew Turner said:

“We are so happy to win this award, it means a lot to us. The Air Ambulance Service is a fantastic charity, and we are elated to work with them.

“We choose to support The Air Ambulance charity because they do such great work across the nation, helping to save lives.”

The glamourous night included an auction hosted by Christopher Biggins, and then concluded with the unique voice of star guest Heather Small, followed by more brilliant live entertainment.

Commenting on the night, TAAS CEO Andy Williamson said:

“The Air Ambulance Service took to the national stage on Friday with its first Showcase and Awards. This spectacular evening brought together staff, volunteers, supporters, sponsors ambassadors, clinical partners, Government, umbrella bodies, other charities and businesses who all share the common goal of wanting to help people and save lives.

“I want to again congratulate Dentons on their award and to thank them for all their support, but I also want to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved with The Air Ambulance Service for the skill, knowledge, resilience and sheer dedication they have all shown – especially over the last two very difficult and challenging years.

“We have strong values of Creativity, Compassion, and most of all Courage and these have ensured we have been able to continue delivery of our life-saving service and supporting the NHS.”
