Dentons announces today that Anne MacDonald has joined the Firm’s Public Policy practice as senior policy director based in the Dallas office. MacDonald will leverage her extensive experience in political risk management to provide strategic counsel to clients navigating complex geopolitical issues.

Prior to joining Dentons, MacDonald was managing director for political risk at a global consulting firm, where she advised corporations on preparing for and responding to geopolitical challenges through COVID-19, the 2020 and 2022 US presidential elections and Russia-Ukraine conflict. Notably, she spent more than a decade serving President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush in the White House, Pentagon and State Department, including as chief of staff to Mrs. Bush, through the launch of the Bush Presidential Center. MacDonald’s career also includes work with the State Department on the 2004 G8 Summit, serving as a Defense Fellow at the Pentagon focused on Afghanistan and Iraq and significant contributions to international humanitarian efforts in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. She has collaborated with global government leaders and US officials across federal administrations, state AG offices and Congress, as well as led global crisis and regulatory risk teams across multiple continents.
