This event has been organised in partnership between the Dentons LGBT+ network, GLOW, the Dentons women's network, Inspire, and their allies. This is an evening for ALL to share in the insights and experiences of a courageous adventurer.

Sarah Outen MBE is an adventurer by land and sea, bestselling author and motivational speaker. In November 2015, she completed her most recent major expedition: London2London:Via the World, an attempt to row, cycle and kayak 25,000 miles around the Northern Hemisphere. The journey took 4.5 years and was all the richer for not turning out exactly as planned.

In completing various expeditions under her own power, Sarah became the first woman and the youngest person to row solo across the Indian Ocean and also the Pacific Ocean from Japan to Alaska. During her crossing of the North Pacific Ocean, Sarah proposed to her girlfriend, Lucy. The evening promises to be a fascinating and interesting night, full of inspiration, insight and journey tales.

Sarah's tale of resilience, overcoming challenges both physical and mental and her inner struggles has something for all of us in dealing with life's challenges.

Sarah will be answering questions at the end of her talk. We have already identified a few: What inspired you to "dare to do"? What encouraged you to embark on the various expeditions you have completed? How do you keep yourself motivated on such challenging expeditions?
