Many uncertainties have arisen in relation to transfers of personal data outside the EEA following the Schrems II decision. 1. Transfer of personal data outside the EEA under GDPR, the Schrems II decision and the EROD recommendations

• We will talk about the requirements under the GDPR for the legality of transfers, as well as the available transfer mechanisms and situations where the data importer is exempted from the requirement to implement them.
• We will also present the key and practical conclusions of the Schrems II decision and show how the European Data Protection Board addresses them in the final version of its recommendations.

2. The new Standard Contractual Clauses

• We will present the key elements of the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) adopted by the Commission on 4 June 2021 and explain how they differ from the previous ones.
• We will talk about the applicable deadlines for the adoption of new SCC.
• We will answer the question of whether the adoption of SCC guarantees compliance with the GDPR.

• We will explain the Transfer Impact Assessment process, the stages it consists of and the benefits of implementing it in your company.
