On Wednesday, February 16, Dentons celebrated Black History Month with a special program hosted by our Black Professional Alliance affinity group featuring author, musician and screenwriter James McBride. In a lively conversation, Mr. McBride discussed how his personal identity and life experiences shaped his world view and artistic perspective, the importance of intersectionality in our cultural and political conversations and the power of storytelling as a universal skill across industries. The program was planned by our BPA chairs, partners Claude Montgomery and Uchenna Ekuma-Nkama and legal secretary Linda Wimberly, with remarks from our CEO Sonia Martin.
