Baku—On May 26-27, 2015 the Dentons Baku office and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service) in cooperation with IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, organized a training course on “Corporate Governance, Combating Corruption and ASAN Experience: Law and Practice.” The two-day training was held at the IFC Baku office and attracted more than 30 representatives from leading companies operating in Azerbaijani and various State authorities, including representatives from State Ministries such the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Taxes, Ministry of Internal Affairs and others.

The training session opened with welcoming remarks by Baku Partner Kamal Mammadzada and Mr. Azad Cafarli, Director of International Relations Department at ASAN Service, followed by presentations by Mr. Boris Janjalia, IFC Corporate Governance Officer, Baku Associates Ulvia Zeynalova-Bockin, Sona Taghiyeva and as well as five representatives from ASAN.

The audience showed great interest in the presentation given by all of the Speakers, and they initiated lively discussions. All of the participants noted that the training was informative and beneficial
