Kyiv—Dentons' Kyiv office recently held a round table entitled "Debt recovery: hot issues in court practice."

Representatives of leading Ukrainian banks and the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine joined the Bankruptcy Commissioner and Dentons lawyers to discuss debt recovery, securities enforcement in Ukraine, relevant court practice and the peculiarities of proceedings involved in Crimea and ATO.

During the discussion, Oleksandr Yevsikov, Judge of the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine, shared his views on court practice developments and ongoing Ukrainian court system reforms. The bankers pointed out debt recovery problems in the ATO-zone, challenges related to mortgage enforcement and the inefficiency of some procedural rules involved. They also shared  their experience on interesting cases, which were commented on by Judge Yevsikov and Bankruptcy Manager Maksim Zvezdichev.

The round table was moderated by Partner Natalia Selyakova, Senior Associate Nikolay Zhovner and Associate Artem Lukyanov from Dentons’ Kyiv office.
