The two locations a pilot project as a new sustainability standard is applied for the first time
Frankfurt—Global law firm Dentons has advised the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg on the development and construction of two innovative buildings at the locations Sankt Augustin and Rheinbach.
The locations are expanded by buildings which were developed according to the Silver Standard of the newly developed national evaluation system for sustainable construction of federal buildings. The system was established in cooperation with the German society for sustainable construction and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Development. It comprises characteristics such as energy efficiency and the use of innovative building technology. It is the first time that this system is applied throughout the entire procurement procedure.
Currently, 8.000 students are registered at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg Universtiy of Applied Science. The departments for economy, computer sciences and electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and technical journalism are located in St. Augustin. The department for applied sciences is located in Rheinbach, Social Security Studies in Hennef.
