Dubai—Dentons' Middle East partners hosted a client dinner on 26 January 2017 with The Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Canada's 22nd Prime Minister.

The former Prime Minister, who was introduced by Middle East Managing Partner Paul Jarvis, gave a keynote speech addressing recent global economic and political events such as the new Trump administration and Brexit. Mr Harper also shared his thoughts on the opportunities in China and the potential growth for business in Africa and South America.

Providing the closing remarks, UK Managing Partner Brandon Ransley thanked Mr Harper and the full house of guests for attending. He also added that Dentons looks forward to continuing developing the affiliation with Harper & Associates Consulting.

Commenting on the successful event, Jarvis said, ''We are delighted to have hosted such an engaging dinner with the Prime Minister. In the current economic climate this was a great opportunity for our clients to listen and engage with such a prominent world leader.''

The dinner was Mr Harper's first engagement in the Middle East with Dentons since announcing his affiliation with the Firm in September 2016.
