Dentons partner Linda White has been selected as a member of the seventh class of the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame 2016 by Midwest Real Estate News Magazine, joining a select group of real estate professionals who have made a true difference in their industry and communities.
This year's annual Hall of Fame issue of Midwest Real Estate News Magazine features 75 commercial real estate professionals from across the Midwest. According to the magazine, Linda White "continues to play a leading role in some of the largest real estate transactions in the country, and the biggest names in commercial real estate continue to turn to her for advice and representation."
Linda's broad based Real Estate practice includes prominence in acquisitions and dispositions, workouts, leasing, financing, joint venture relationships and structuring, development and telecommunications matters. Recently ranked #7 in Leading Lawyers' Top Ten Women Real Estate Lawyers, she is widely recognized as an authority in leasing and property management. She represents both owner/landlords and tenants in complex leasing and property management matters involving office and retail properties. Linda has also handled many acquisitions, dispositions and real estate workouts and distressed assets during the real estate cycles of her career.
Since 1986, Linda White has represented Willis Tower through successive ownerships. She currently represents Blackstone, the latest owner of Willis Tower, in the redesign of the lower floors, the sky lobbies, and the tourist-popular Skydeck.
Represents Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. from 2008 through 2016 in connection with the foreclosure/workout, stabilization and subsequent disposition of Lehman’s debt and equity positions (including the sale of notes and equity interests) in real estate projects across the country, with the post-bankruptcy goal of maximizing the value of the debtor’s estate. These projects included a five-star hotel portfolio with properties in Hawaii, Colorado, Philadelphia, Rancho Mirage (CA), the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos, a golf resort/residential community in Texas, a horse ranch/resort in Montana, a fishing and wildlife ranch in Alaska, and multiple office portfolios and projects throughout the country.
Most recently, Linda has represent HPI Group, a full-service commercial real estate company, on numerous dispositions, including the sale of a 10 building GSA portfolio.
