Dentons’ Bratislava office has received – for the fourth time in six years – the "Law Firm of the Year in Real Estate" award at the CIJ Awards Slovakia 2017.

The CIJ Awards – organized by the Construction and Investment Journal - are the most prestigious real estate awards in the Slovak Republic. The awards were announced during a gala dinner at the Grand Hotel River Park, which was attended by major real estate sector players, banks and law firms.

Counsel Patricia Gossányiová, accepted the award on behalf of Dentons. Patricia thanked the Firm’s clients for their support and the Real Estate group in Bratislava for their efforts in winning this award.

Dentons has grown into the leading Real Estate practice in Slovakia with experienced lawyers who provide legal advice on a full range of real property-related issues and transactions.

Among Dentons’ top deals over the past year, was the acquisition by CNIC Corporation, an investment company owned by the Chinese government, of Prologis Park Galanta-Gáň from Prologis, a global logistics real-estate company. The park is the largest logistics asset, both by area and investment volume, ever sold in the CEE region.

Dentons also advised Slovenská sporiteľňa (Erste Group) and Komerční banka (Société Générale Group) as lenders on the club financing of IAD Investments’ acquisition of the Laugaricio shopping centre in Trenčín. The transaction was one of the largest property transactions in Slovakia in 2016.

Another major transaction handled by Dentons was representing a club of banks led by Tatra banka in connection with the financing of the construction of the Slovak national football stadium. The construction was co-financed by the Government of the Slovak Republic and the stadium will be transferred to the Slovak Republic after its completion.
