Dentons Boekel partner Eugenie Nunes and associate Marije Ozinga have contributed to the analysis of the Dutch legal framework in the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2019. The index presents a portrait of the rule of law in 126 countries by providing scores and rankings based on eight factors: constraints on government powers, absence of corruption, open government, fundamental rights, order and security, regulatory enforcement, civil justice, and criminal justice.

The World Justice Project (WJP) is an independent, multidisciplinary non-profit organization working to advance the rule of law worldwide. It was founded in 2006 as a presidential initiative of the American Bar Association (ABA) with the initial support of 21 strategic partners. It has been producing the Rule of Law Index annually since 2008.
