Dentons’ Real Estate team in Warsaw has advised the residential and commercial property developer LC Corp on an over €113 million sale of two office complexes: the Silesia Star in Katowice and Wrocław’s Retro Office House. This was the first sale of a commercial scheme ever in the history of LC Corp, which heralds its new strategy for office buildings. The office buildings new owners are members of the Globalworth Poland Real Estate corporate group.

Silesia Star is an A class office complex located in central Katowice, comprising two buildings with a total surface area of 27,000 sq. m. The complex has maintained a stable 100% commercialization ratio since 2016. Its tenants include Europe’s largest R&D center Mentor Graphics. Silesia Star was sold for over €54.3 million.

Retro Office House is a prestigious modernist-design office building located in downtown Wrocław. It took only six months since the commercial launch of the building to commercialize all 21,000 sq. m. of its lettable space. Its tenants include Olympus’ shared services center for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Globalworth purchased the building at the price of €58.8 million.

The project was brought to completion by Dentons and the consultancy firm Knight Frank. On behalf of Dentons the transaction was supervised by partner Bartłomiej Kordeczka and counsel Maciej Jodkowski, with the support from associate Alicja Grabowska.
