Amsterdam— Global law firm Dentons advised Union Investment Real Estate GmbH (Union Investment), the investment arm of the DZ Bank Group, on the acquisition of Smartlog Venray from DHG. DHG has sold Smartlog Venray for €85 million in a share transaction and it has now been fully transferred to Union Investment.

In 2018, DHG bought the vacant former Inalfa factory from Ramphastos. DHG subsequently developed Smartlog Venray, a DC consisting of three units, originally totaling more than 53,000 sq. m. and entered into long-term lease agreements with JD.com for DC3 and Clipper Logistics for DC1 and DC2, who established their e-commerce activities from here. Subsequently, additional 3-layer mezzanine floors totaling 37,500 sq. m. were and partially will be installed in DC1 and DC2 for Clipper Logistics, increasing the total floor space of Smartlog Venray to 91,299 sq. m. LFA.
