Global law firm Dentons advised ING Bank Śląski on a PLN 127 million financing granted to the German developer ABO Wind for the construction of a wind power project in Wielkopolska Province in Poland.

Dentons’ legal advice involved comprehensive support to the lender in preparing, negotiating and executing the finance documents. The transaction documents were governed by Polish and German law and included a hedging agreement.

ABO Wind is one of European leaders in terms of development of renewable energy projects. Since 1996, the company has developed and sold wind and solar projects with a capacity of more than 3,700 megawatts and has built around half of them.

Partner Piotr Nerwiński supervised the cross-border project, with support from senior associate Justyna Jamroży and associate Katarzyna Kaptur from the Banking and Finance team in Warsaw, as well as Banking and Finance partner Bernhard Gemmel and Tax partner Thomas Voss in Frankfurt.
