Dentons has appointed Paris-based partner Anna Crevon-Tarassova and Singapore-based partner Lawrence Teh as Global Co-heads of the International Arbitration practice.

Anna Crevon-Tarassova represents corporate clients, sovereign nations and state-owned entities in investor-state and commercial arbitration proceedings, with a particular focus on emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. She has represented clients in several of the landmark arbitration cases of the past decade, including successfully defending the People’s Republic of China in the first ICSID arbitration of any significance brought against it and Gazprom in a series of arbitrations and court proceedings concerning gas supply to the Republic of Lithuania. Anna Crevon-Tarassova also advises clients on recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, state immunity issues, compliance with international treaties and customary international law.

Lawrence Teh represents commercial clients as lead counsel in international arbitration, litigation, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution. He is well known for this work in cases concerning arbitral and court jurisdiction and has been involved in landmark cases on curial review of arbitral jurisdiction. He also persuaded a full Singapore Court of Appeal to reverse several of its previous judgments on exclusive jurisdiction clauses to make new law. He is appointed regularly as an arbitrator in international commercial disputes under the rules and auspices of major international arbitration institutions including the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, SCMA and KCAB.
