Paris—Global law firm Dentons has strengthened its Litigation practice in France with the hire of partner Matthieu Ollivry.

Matthieu Ollivry has fifteen years of experience in business litigation and specialises in banking and financial litigation. Over the last ten years, he has acted for banks in the Madoff, toxic loans and TEG disputes. He also manages corporate and commercial litigation, often international and multi-jurisdictional. He maintains a strong practice in enforcement.

Matthieu also advises companies and managers in criminal business law, at all stages of criminal proceedings. He is currently involved in various high-profile criminal cases in Paris and Marseille. He advises his clients on a daily basis on risk analysis, negotiation, compliance and crisis management.

Matthieu started his career at August Debouzy before joining Gide and continuing his career at Jones Day. He is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris (2001). He holds a postgraduate degree in international business law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (2004) and a postgraduate degree in international litigation and arbitration from Paris II Panthéon-Assas (2005). Matthieu Ollivry teaches at Sciences Po Paris.

He is involved in pro bono initiatives in criminal matters. The litigation team in the Paris office has 18 lawyers, including 4 partners. Matthieu will also be able to draw on the expertise of the international litigation team of 1,300 lawyers.
