Dublin—Dentons, the world's largest law firm, has announced the recruitment of a leading banking and finance partner into its fast-growing Dublin office.

Siobhan Carlin will be joining in October from William Fry where she is a partner. She specialises in real estate investment and development finance as well as project finance transactions, with her clients spanning financial institutions, alternative lenders, sponsors, private equity houses, institutional investors and semi-state entities. Linklaters trained and also dual qualified, Siobhan has been involved in advising on financings to funds as well as domestic and cross-border corporate lending transactions, debt restructurings and a number of loan portfolio acquisitions and financings. Siobhan is described in the directories as a strong practitioner with “excellent technical knowledge" (IFLR1000 2020) and she is recognised in both Chambers Europe and Legal 500 EMEA.

In August Dentons announced the recruitment of leading Dublin litigator Karyn Harty as Head of Litigation, following the arrival of Colm Ó hUiginn (Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure), David McGuinness (Corporate) and Michael McDonald (Corporate) earlier this year. The Dublin office now has 11 partners.

• Advising GH Research plc on its pre-IPO fundraising round and NASDAQ IPO.
• Acting for Ailmount Investments ULC, the selling shareholder of the Davy Group, in relation to the disposal of the Davy group of companies.
• Advising the liquidators of the UK and Irish arms of Wirecard.
• Acting for Oaktree Capital as seller on the disposal of four portfolios of Irish residential mortgages for a value of $500 million – one of the largest loan portfolio sales in the Irish market in 2021.
