This month marks the 6^th anniversary of our 14-jurisdiction law firm combination which changed the legal services landscape in the region and heralded the rebirth of Dentons as the world's largest Pan-Caribbean law firm.

On July 2, 2018, Delany Law in the Eastern Caribbean combined with Dentons to form Dentons Delany. Today, Dentons Delany comprises approximately 30 percent of the Firm’s footprint in Latin America and the Caribbean and, as a “firm of first” it continues to serve as the flagship global law firm in the region.

Addressing the Firm during its annual toast Dustin Delany, Dentons Delany Chair and Chief Managing Partner stated: “Each year we become a different firm- an even better firm- continuing to evolve, learn, and innovate lending to the sustained improvement necessary for us to maintain our position as the leading Pan-Caribbean law firm. Quality of client service and quality of work product have been the foundation of our success; however, this can only be accomplished through further recruitment and retention of the Caribbean's top talent- an area that we have excelled in as of late. The Firm continues to evolve at an unprecedented rate expanding in numbers whilst driving integration and innovation across key markets. To mark the month of celebrations Jenell D. Gibson in Antigua and Barbuda and Odette P. T. Clarke in Trinidad and Tobago were elevated to senior associate.

Jenell serves as the lead attorney in Antigua and Barbuda overseeing day-to-day operations whilst co-leading matters in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, and Montserrat. Her wheelhouse includes advising on corporate and commercial, disputes, immigration, financing, labour, and real estate matters. Commenting on her promotion, Jenell expressed: “It is a tremendous pleasure to be a part of the magnificent team of attorneys at Dentons Delany. I am immensely grateful for our firm's consistent commitment to investing in the continued growth and development of each of the members of this team. Odette’s practice is strategically focused on advising local companies and multinationals in the areas of construction, labour and employment, insurance, nuisance, negligence, defamation passing off and property law. She is recognized for leading contentious collective bargaining and labour disputes, as well as bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters.

Over 65 percent of the attorneys at Dentons Delany are female, while 67 percent of the Firm’s managing partner posts are held by women. On 3 June 2024, Joia W. S. Reece assumed the position of Dentons Delany Co-Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Office Managing Partner – Barbados.
