Dentons has been named a leading firm for women lawyers in Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Europe Women in Business Law Awards. Dentons received three awards, including "Best firm in Kazakhstan", "Best firm in the Czech Republic" and "Best international mentoring program".
"We are very proud of our talented women, who are acknowledged as leaders in the Firm, the market and the community," said Tomasz Dąbrowski, CEO of Dentons Europe. "These three awards recognize our commitment to creating an equal opportunity working environment that nurtures talent and allows both women and men to achieve their full potential."
Aigoul Kenjebayeva, Kazakhstan Managing Partner, commented: "I have been privileged to build my career at a law firm that recognizes talent and empowers women lawyers to reach leadership positions within the firm. Now, as a leader, I am committed to paying it forward by coaching and developing our next generation of women leaders."
Ladislav Štorek, Country Managing Partner for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, commented: "It is well known in Prague that we have a different approach compared to other firms when it comes to female attorneys, in particular when it comes to maternity. At many of our competitors, there is little understanding for finding the right balance between motherhood and work. We always try to find the best solution for our women lawyers – through flexible compensation arrangements, part time jobs, and partial work from home. This allows us to keep very good, experienced lawyers over the long term, and creates loyalty."
