Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, today announces that partner Keith Moskowitz has been chosen by Law360 as a 2021 MVP of the Year in the Insurance category. Resident in the Chicago office, Moskowitz is Chair of the US Board, a member of Dentons’ global Board and co-leader of the global Insurance sector and US Insurance Litigation and Arbitration sectors.

The MVP of the Year recognizes lawyers who have succeeded in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals. Moskowitz was one of few chosen from a pool of hundreds of applicants. This is the second time Moskowitz has received the Law360 Insurance MVP award, the first being in 2016.

A trial lawyer with more than 20 years of experience defending insurance companies in complex commercial cases involving all lines of insurance in US federal and state trial and appellate courts, Moskowitz has particular experience litigating insurance coverage and bad faith disputes and insurance-related class actions. He also regularly represents carriers in a substantial number of cross-border cases and claim disputes outside of the US. Moskowitz works with insurers on insurance policy wordings and on claims and underwriting regulatory and compliance issues in the US and abroad.

Moskowitz has been involved in the most significant catastrophic and mass tort claims, including his current work in connection with COVID-19 insurance litigation, US opioid litigation, US abuse and molestation coverage litigation, US public nuisance lead paint coverage litigation, his prior representation of BP in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill litigation and representations of insurance industry clients in response to various hurricanes and natural disasters, including Hurricane Katrina. His deep-rooted experience in the insurance sector includes claim and legal positions he held at The Travelers Companies Inc., where he managed complex environmental, toxic tort, pharmaceutical and asbestos claims, among other matters.
