The American Lawyer named Sonia Martin, CEO of Dentons US and a member of Dentons’ Global and US Boards, to its 2022 list of West Trailblazers. Martin was honored as a leader who fosters authenticity, vulnerability and empathy to build stronger relationships.

Martin is the first woman to fill the role of Dentons US CEO, having previously served as vice-chairperson of the US Board and managing partner of Dentons’ San Francisco and Oakland offices. Committed to an inclusive workplace, Martin is a member of Dentons’ Global LGBTQ+ Network, the Global and US Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Women LEAD (Leadership, Entrepreneurism, Advancement, Development) Committee. She is also a partner in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and is a versatile litigator with two decades of experience defending consumer class actions, complex commercial litigation and insurance litigation. 

Over the course of her career, Martin has led crucial initiatives and been a vocal advocate for the careers of diverse lawyers. As a leader with Dentons, she continues to use her platforms to amplify the voices of others and create an environment in which everyone is comfortable being themselves and celebrated for their contributions.
