Dentons is proud to present the Lifetime Achievement and Contribution Award to Jana Cohen Barbe in recognition of her exemplary career at Dentons and the impact she has had on women.

As the first woman appointed to the Dentons’ Global Board, as well as the first Global Vice Chair appointed from the US region, Jana helped lead the growth and transformation of Dentons into an international business and largest law firm in the world. With Jana’s trailblazing leadership, today, we have ten outstanding women serving on the Global Board with multiple women serving as CEOs of their regions.

Jana was also the first woman in Dentons' history to have become an equity partner on a part-time schedule. She was the first woman to chair the Firm's preeminent Real Estate Practice and the Firm's Financial Institutions Sector, successfully leading and managing both through boom-times and recessions.

Jana’s impact on Dentons, our colleagues, and the community is permanent. She helped develop the Firm into a global player, pioneered a practice that remains one of the firm’s signature strengths, and has been a model for younger lawyers—especially women—nurturing the talent and careers of many who are now themselves leaders in the legal profession.
