Responsibilities

Dentons US LLP is seeking a Transactional Analyst to join our Hospitality and Leisure practice group in either our Chicago or Phoenix office. Transactional Analysts gain significant exposure to law and business through hands-on, practical experience by working closely with lawyers and paraprofessionals on client matters. This position will report to the Senior Practice Director of the practice group, with daily work performed primarily under the direction of assigned practice group lawyers and/or paraprofessionals. Expected responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of basic transactional documents
• Facilitating the coordination of entity and property due diligence
• Establishing and maintaining electronic client files by utilizing firm document management system
• Preparing closing indexes and binders and ensuring post-closing obligations are met
• Reviewing and analyzing various legal agreements and contracts and preparing abstracts upon request
• Performing research on factual issues and assisting in the preparation of legal analysis
• Availability to work overtime to support business needs when necessary
• 2-year commitment is highly desired; interest in pursuing a career in law is encouraged

The salary range for this position in Chicago is $55,000 to $65,000, based on experience. Position qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with strong academic credentials is required
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PDF creation tools are required
• Ability to work in a professional team environment and interact with all levels of business services professionals and clients in a fast-paced legal environment
• Proactive, with a strong work ethic and an ability to anticipate assignment needs of the and respond accordingly
• Superior client service skills, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent critical thinking, organizational, decision-making, writing and research skills
• Strong computer technical skills and demonstrated ability to learn new software
• Availability to work overtime to support business needs when necessary
