The Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority published the official results of the second METÁR tender on February 11.
The summary evaluation reveals that 257 tender proposals were submitted in this round, 36 proposals (14%) of which were declared successful, while 189 proposals (74%) were valid, but had to be rejected due to the exhaustion of generation volumes available for support and their insufficiently competitive bid prices. The remaining 32 proposals (12%) were declared invalid for other reasons.
In the small category (0.3-1 MW (AC) capacity), 30 projects out of 107 with an overall capacity of 25 MW were awarded the green premium. In this category the lowest bidding price was HUF 21.00/kWh and the last successful bid was priced HUF 23.03/kWh.
In the big category (1-49.99 MW (AC) capacity), only 6 out of the 118 valid proposals were declared successful with an overall capacity of 185 MW. In this category the best price was HUF 16.18/kWh, while the last winning project made its bid at HUF 17.97/kWh.
We are continuously monitoring developments concerning METÁR, so, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
