Dentons and The International Law Institute gave a 2-day live webinar series on global Force Majeure laws. The program provided an overview of force majeure and developments globally as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Session One

In Session One, we discussed US force majeure law and other related defenses to non-performance under contracts, the differences between common law and civil law in connection with the interpretation and enforcement of contract clauses, and force majeure law and related developments in the UK and Europe.

Session Two

In Session Two, we discussed force majeure and developments resulting from the impact of the pandemic in Africa, Mainland China and Latin America.
