On August 26, the Minister of Labor announced, in accordance with Article 66 of the Labor Code, that Public workers will enjoy a holiday with paid salary starting on Friday, September 9 at the end of the regular workday until Sunday, September 18, and will return to their regular work on Monday, September 19, 2022.

The same decree establishes that September 14 and 15 are national holidays in Nicaragua and that both days are mandatory with the right to rest and paid salary for all workers in the country.
