Bob has more than 30 years of experience in insurance law, much of that time spent in-house at Prudential Financial Inc. He has a deep working knowledge of the business of insurance with extensive experience in individual life, group life, group disability, sales conduct and class action litigation matters. Bob also handles coverage and claims matters across various lines of business, including professional liability, directors and officers, property and casualty, and general liability coverage matters.
Bob brings extensive knowledge and experience of insurance company products, distribution and operations. Prior to joining Dentons, Bob served as Vice President & Corporate Counsel with Prudential, managing its individual life insurance litigation, including class actions, and group life and disability insurance litigation, as well as FINRA arbitration and customer litigation matters. Bob also supported the distribution and sale of insurance and securities products by the company’s agency sales force of financial professionals, counselling on business initiatives, regulatory matters, investigations, restrictive covenant enforcement, insurance licensing and appointment, securities licensing and compliance policies and procedures, and was responsible for supporting the company’s directors and officers, professional liability and other executive risk insurance coverages, including policy wording and claims issues. Bob’s in-house experience also includes environmental and toxic tort insurance coverage litigation and employment law litigation and counselling. Prior to his career in-house, Bob was in private practice concentrating on commercial, insurance coverage and employment litigation.
