Wensheng Peng is proficient in financial legal theory and practice. He is experienced in the theory and practice of legal issues related to company law, corporate governance and enterprise internal controls and He previously served as a procuratorate prosecutor.
Mr. Peng has provided legal services for a number of banks and other financial institutions and has accumulated a wealth of experience in litigation and non-litigation business in this sector. With regard to litigation, Mr. Peng and his team have participated in more than 200 financial civil cases and over 50 criminal proceedings. With regard to non-litigation experience, he has provided legal advisory, asset acquisition, and restructuring services for numerous joint-stock commercial banks, state-owned commercial banks and trust and investment companies. He has deep non-litigation experience with internal controls and project legal services. Mr. Peng has conducted thematic studies on issues in intellectual property law, particularly “enterprise intellectual property strategy ”and “enterprise intellectual property management”. He has undertaken intellectual property strategy and intellectual property management projects for many governments and enterprises as well as a great deal of non-litigation and litigation business involving intellectual property, accumulating rich practical experience. Mr. Peng has conducted long-term research on legal issues related to the Company Law, corporate governance, and enterprise internal controls. He has completed thematic theoretical studies and provided practical legal solutions in the areas of company establishment, shareholders' rights, equity transfer, charter formulation, voting methods at shareholders' meetings, pathways of divestment for shareholders, the authority of directors and supervisors, company liquidation and bankruptcy, and compliance management.
Mr. Peng's 2009 work Guidelines for the Preparation of Enterprise Intellectual Property Strategy and Implementation Plans (Law Press China) filled a gap in the practice field of domestic “enterprise intellectual property strategy”. This book was awarded first place on the “2009 Top 10 Intellectual Property Works of the Intellectual Property Committee of the All China Lawyers Association”.
