Ruth brings with her significant experience advising clients on all aspects of financial services regulation, having practised in the area in Australia and the United Kingdom, where she worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Hogan Lovells.
Ruth is regularly sought after by providers of financial services for advice on product development, regulatory compliance, privacy, anti-money laundering, consumer credit, financial services regulation, clearing and payment systems, electronic banking and card services, trade practices and fair trading, loyalty and rewards schemes, loan and security documentation, website compliance, training, complaints handling and relevant codes of practice. She is also a regular presenter on current issues facing the sector and regulatory changes.
Gadens’ Sydney chairman and national head of Banking & Finance, Paul Armstrong, said of the appointment, ‘Ruth’s depth of experience both in Australia and overseas made her a natural choice for the firm.’
