Chicago—Dentons, the world's leading global law firm, today announced that Joe Mohorovic, currently commissioner of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), will join the firm’s leading Federal Regulatory and Compliance practice as a Principal. Mohorovic will be based in the firm's Chicago office, but will work across the US and internationally.

Mohorovic joined the CPSC from Intertek, a global leader in product testing. Mohorovic oversaw all  aspects of performance, growth and strategic management in the North American region, and brought this business expertise to bear in his role as a CPSC Commissioner. In this presidentially appointed and Senate-confirmed position, Mohorovic has played a leading role in protecting American consumers, and been involved in product safety matters across a wide range of industries in the US and globally.  Mohorovic also brings a deep understanding of the legislative process and the intersection of business and government, having served as a state representative in New Mexico before joining Intertek.

Mohorovic, having worked closely with international consumer product manufacturers, retailers, associations and NGOs, will bring that breadth of experience to his work with Dentons' clients on regulatory matters, compliance efforts, supply chain interruption, risk assessment and quality assurance processes. He will be an asset to Dentons' product liability, consumer product and public policy practices.
