Paris—Dentons advised Bpifrance Large Venture on Enyo Pharma's €40 million financing, which  will allow the company to fund the two Phase II clinical trials of its EYP001 compound, for both chronic hepatitis B (HBV) and NASH. A second compound is also expected to enter the clinic in 2019.

This new round of financing enabled the New York fund OrbiMed, Andera Partners and Bpifrance Large Venture to make their equity investments in the Lyon startup. The existing shareholders – Sofinnova, Morningside Venture Investments, Innobio and Inserm Transfer Initiative – have also reinvested funds into the company. Enyo Pharma had already raised €22 million in 2016.

Founded four years ago by Inserm Lyon alumni and pharmaceutical industry leaders, Enyo Pharma is a clinical stage Biotech with a unique drug discovery engine inspired by viruses.. The company has a comprehensive database of all virus/human protein interactions that are used to define new targets within cells.
