Chicago—Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, today announces that Mary Wilson was named as a Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer Women in Law award winner. Wilson, Dentons US’ first female managing partner, is a national finance, health care and tax-exempt organization lawyer who has served in various leadership roles at Dentons.
Wilson was among the 50 Illinois lawyers selected to the inaugural list by peers, the publications’ selection committee and Women’s Advisory Board. Among the selection criteria were the awardees’ work to mentor and promote other women in the profession, success in the legal community and serving as a strong example of leadership. Honorees come from nonprofit and government sectors, private and public companies, healthcare, businesses, institutions and law firms.
In addition to her practice, Wilson leads Dentons’ innovative growth in the United States, to create a truly national United States law firm. She is the former Chicago office managing partner, a continuing member of Dentons’ US Board and its Women LEAD Network. She has served on the Chicago leadership board of the American Diabetes Association and the boards of KEEN Chicago and Heartland Health Outreach.
