Dentons continues to increase its rankings around the world more than any other law firm and in 2020 Dentons again increased its Chambers and Legal 500 rankings, receiving 2,631 total rankings. These include 530 firm Band 1 and Band 2 rankings, an increase of 168% since 2014.

In the Asia Pacific, Dentons continues to rank highly in the leading independent legal publisher Chambers' latest assessment of top law firms and lawyers in the region. Chambers Asia Pacific 2021 awarded Dentons 184 rankings, eight percent more than last year's 170. These rankings were comprised of 74 practice rankings spanning 11 countries – including 26 in the highest bands (1&2) – and 110 lawyer rankings.

In ASEAN, Chambers awarded Dentons 51 practice and lawyer rankings, up from 44 last year. Singapore achieved 16 practice rankings (two more than 2020), and 25 lawyer rankings, up from 22. Malaysia and Indonesia received 10 rankings in total, two more than last year.

Chambers awarded our Australasia region 20 practice and 33 lawyer rankings. These include 10 top (Bands 1&2) firm and individual rankings at Dentons Kensington Swan in New Zealand, and five rankings in Papua New Guinea. Our Australia offices secured 18 rankings across 10 different ranking categories.

Our Central Asia offices in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan once again won five top practice rankings (Bands 1&2) for Corporate & Finance, Dispute Resolution, Energy & Natural Resources and General Business Law. This region also earned nine outstanding lawyer rankings.

Dentons China also continued to gain new and improved rankings this year, with 12 practice rankings in Bands 1&2 (up from nine in 2020) and 35 lawyers ranked (last year: 28). The rankings reflect Dentons' nationwide as well as regional strengths in China in areas including Capital Markets, Construction, Corporate/M&A, Dispute Resolution and Energy.

Chambers awarded Dentons Hong Kong seven rankings covering international Litigation, Arbitration and Capital Markets. Our lawyer rankings in Hong Kong included Allan Leung, ranked Band 1 for Litigation.
