Paris—Dentons has announced the recruitment of partner Séverine Hotellier and a team of three associates to establish the Insurance practice in the Paris office.

Well-known insurance lawyer Séverine Hotellier deals with complex, high-stakes issues for insurance companies as well as industrial clients both in France and internationally. For nearly 20 years, she has assisted clients with claims management, litigation and disputes, and advised them on insurance-related technical, financial and legal issues. She advises on insurance claims regulations, and helps with the drafting, distribution and adaptation of insurance policies to cover evolving risks. She also supports clients in relation to insurance guarantees and cyber risk.

Accompanied by two associates - Charlène Trancart and Anne-Laure Boulard - Hotellier will lead Dentons’ new Insurance practice in Paris, and will join the Firm’s global Insurance group which includes more than 300 lawyers around the world.

Before moving to Dentons, Hotellier began her career as an associate and then a partner at Hascoet & Associés, before joining Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés (LPA-CGR avocats) as a partner. She also teaches insurance law within the Masters of Insurance program of the University Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne.  She is recommended by leading legal directories, including Chambers Europe 2016, Best Lawyer and The Legal 500 EMEA.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 1998, she holds a Master’s degree (DESS) in Construction Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon Assas.
