Dentons is celebrating partner Jean-Pierre Dépelteau’s impressive career as he passes his 50th year with the Bar of Québec. A high-calibre jurist, Jean-Pierre joined Dentons in 1982, when the Firm was known as Byers Casgrain.

Recognized today as one of Canada's leading construction and infrastructure lawyers, Jean-Pierre has worked on a multitude of large and complex projects and has contributed to the training of young lawyers year after year.

Throughout his career, Jean-Pierre has demonstrated a sustained commitment to social engagement and has been actively involved with the Bar of Québec. He was also a lecturer in the Master's degree program in project management at the Université du Québec à Montréal, in addition to teaching public legal education courses for several years.

Jean-Pierre's personal and professional qualities, his in-depth expertise in construction law, the extent of his contribution to the profession, and his commitment to promoting access to justice to the general public have made him the eminent lawyer he is today.
