ST. LOUIS -- Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announced today that Karen Jordan has been named managing partner of the Firm’s St. Louis office. She succeeds John Haug, who will assume a new role as chair of a forward-looking committee focused on succession planning and preparedness. Jordan joins with Lisa Krigsten, office managing partner of Dentons’ Kansas City office, to round out an all-female leadership team in Missouri.
A member of the Corporate practice, Jordan advises clients on a wide range of corporate, public finance, corporate finance, real estate and securities transactions. She regularly speaks on corporate law, municipal finance and the use of public incentives to finance private development, and was recognized by by Best Lawyers in Banking and Finance Law in 2020 and 2021. Deeply immersed in the St. Louis community, Jordan serves on the Boards of Directors of St. Louis Arc and the St. Louis County Library Foundation and is a member of the St. Louis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Jordan also serves on the Board of Governors as the Region VIII Director for the National Bar Association, and she is active in the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) as Chair of NABL U Presents The Workshop 2021. She earned her JD from the University of Missouri School of Law and her BS from Trulaske College of Business. In law school she was note and comment editor of the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review.
